Author: ActionQuest
Quest Id: 48
Description:
For those of us who can easily step off the curb, access and getting around is something we take for granted. But what if you used a wheelchair for mobility? For this quest, navigate through Atlanta in a wheelchair. Document your experiences and stories about what happens, not only with the environment but also with people. How do people respond differently to you than when you are not in a wheelchair? Document accessibility issues, find conditions that pose barriers to participation, take a picture and describe your experience. People already in wheelchairs are also encouraged to participate in this quest.
Special Instructions:
Wheelchairs can be checked out at the Little Five Points Community Center Base Camp subject to availability. Note: you must provide some sort of collateral, (preferably a credit card or driver’s license), to check out a wheelchair. This quest can be done in a group size up to three if you need a wheelchair, as many as you want if you have your own.
